Differences In The 2021 Subaru Ascent and Subaru Outback

Engine options vary in the Ascent and Outback, with the Outback offering an additional 2.5L Subaru Boxer engine. The Outback also offers more MPG then the Ascent, with up to 33 MPG for Outback vs up to 27 MPG for the Ascent. Both models offer standard All-Wheel Drive, Subaru Starlink, and EyeSight Driver Assist technology.

The Ascent offers more cargo space, with cargo volume up to 47.5 cubic feet vs Outback’s 32.5 cubic feet. The Ascent also offers more passenger volume, with up to 153.5 cubic feet vs Outback’s up to 109 cubic feet.
